Climb Braunton Beacon for a panoramic view of Braunton Great Field, a relic of medieval cultivation, and visit St Brannocks Church, first founded in the 6th century.
Today, it is a lively place, with the Tarka Trail popular with cyclists and walkers and well known for its many surf shops, selling and hiring equipment.
