Woolacombe

Woolacombe

With three miles of golden sands and great waves rolling in off the Atlantic, Woolacombe beach is one of the finest in the South West, and without a doubt the biggest attraction for the thousands of people who have a Devon holiday here each summer.

Away from the seashore, guests of our Woolacombe cottages can enjoy this lively family resort – once little more than a fishing hamlet, its fame grew in the 19th century when sea bathing became popular and local landowning families decided to create a new resort. Much of the elegant Regency holiday accommodation they built still survives, and is today interspersed with a great selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. Book a Woolacombe holiday cottage and enjoy all this region has to offer.

Lee

Lee

Just a little further around this rugged coastline, notorious for shipwrecks in earlier times, you can find our holiday homes in Lee, one of the area's best-kept secrets. Book your North Devon holidays in Lee and you can see for yourself.

Known locally as 'Fuchsia Valley' - during the flowering season the hedgerows are ablaze with scarlet flowers - the unspoilt village centre is about a quarter of a mile from the sea, and is linked to the area around the bay by a road and a level footpath.

The beach here has a gentle slope and as the tide goes out an expanse of sand emerges from among the rocks, along with a way through the cliffs westwards to a large shingle beach called Sandy Cove - lovely for a day out with the family.
