Sweets Cottage is perhaps one of the most attractive and best known properties in Croyde. As you enter this delightful character cottage through the heavy oak front door you will know you're coming to stay in a very special home. Grade II listed and over 300 years old, the cottage has real character from the thatched roof and solid stonework, to exposed beams, inglenook fireplace and antique furniture. Located near the centre of the village, local shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs are all close by and the beach is within easy walking distance. You enter the cottage through either the front or rear door, revealing a large reception/dining room with a table, which comfortably seats ten to twelve guests. An inglenook fireplace with Rayburn keeps this area cosy and warm during the cooler months. The fabulous kitchen with granite surfaces sits to the rear of this room and there is a convenient cloakroom. A magnificent 'L' shaped living room epitomises the cottage feel, featuring a handsome inglenook fireplace with bread oven and copper canopy complete with stone surround and beam. There are five bedrooms on the first floor. At one end the double room features a King sized iron bed together with a twin room served by their own bathroom. Towards the other end are three further rooms, the double room having a King sized iron bed and all served by a second bathroom. Please note the access to two of these rooms is through the spacious twin bedded room. The rear garden is accessed via the lobby and French doors from the living room. A large sloping lawn and octagonal summerhouse and patio with views across the village towards the sea has teak garden furniture for al fresco dining.  On request two guests may be accommodated on a sofa bed in the 'L' shape part of the living room, sleeping a total of twelve. To the front of the property there is a cottage garden with lawn and small stream, securely gated from the side. The garage houses the utility room, which has ample storage for bicycles and beach equipment. You can literally park your car at the beginning of your stay and not get in it again until you leave. A perfect place for a summer, spring or autumn holiday or short break.

Living room with TV with freeview, DVD, video, stereo and sofa bed for 2 guests on request. First floor Bedroom 1 with King. Bedroom 2 with Twin. Bathroom with bath, mixer handset over bath and basin. Separate WC and basin. Bedroom 3 with Twin, a spacious through room leading to Bedroom 4 with Bunks and Bedroom 5 with King and bathroom with bath with shower attachment over bath, WC and basin.
