Appledore is a lovely village with plenty to explore in its narrow, cobbled streets. In summer, a ferry can take you across to the attractive beach, dunes and pubs of Instow. Westward Ho! (3 miles) is one of the finest beaches in the area, with miles of sand and clean surf and plenty of places to eat and drink. For heritage, visit Clovelly, the picturesque, cobbled village in the cliffs (15 miles). For fun-filled days out visit The BIG Sheep and The Milky Way (within 11 miles).
