  • Situated within 150 metres of the beautiful harbourfront with its range of bars and cafes

Lovingly furnished, it would be hard to find a more peaceful retreat bursting with as much charm and character as this four-storey cottage, close to the South West Coast Path and a picturesque harbourfront.

The charm and character of this cottage, with its contemporary farmhouse-style interiors and wonderful original features, is carried through all four of the floors, beginning with the stylish, open-plan kitchen/diner on the ground floor, kitted out with everything you need to whip up a delicious family meal. Head upstairs to take the weight off on the comfortable sofa in the living room, and soothe tired walking muscles beside the wood burner housed inside an original exposed brickwork fireplace. Wind down in the double bedroom on the second floor with wonderful panoramic views over Brixham and beyond, or head right down to the lower ground floor to find a second en-suite bedroom, just as comfortable as the rest of the cottage. Take a walk 150 metres down the lane to reach Brixham Harbour to spot boats bobbing up and down whilst the fishermen reel in the catch of the day.

The picturesque harbourside town of Brixham offers many fishing opportunities and boat trips, plus a vibrant arts and culture scene with plenty of galleries, restaurants, cafes and independent shops to keep you entertained. Enjoy a stroll along the waterfront promenade less than half a mile away, journeying through the half-mile-long breakwater, before trying out a spot of scuba diving at Breakwater Beach (less than 0.5 miles away) in some of the warmest and calmest waters in the country. Hop along the English Riviera to the beautiful seaside towns of Paignton (5 miles) and Torquay (8.5 miles) or pack a picnic for a fun-filled family day at Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, 5.5 miles away.

A well equipped town house in a great location for accessing town by foot, but outside area of pub is next door with loud noise nightly until midnight. The staircases are steep but are manageable; not for more elderly or infirm. Roof bedroom has sloping ceiling so beware if tall; the basement bedroom with en-suite smelled very damp/musty. WoodburneRead morer was great for evening in watching a film and heating/hot water all worked well. Couldnt find any board games, so suggest bring some if staying in. Hide

The cottage was clean and well equipped with nice little touches. Bedding good quality. In a central location, pub down the road can get loud but not after hours. Very noisy neighbour a few doors down who seems to be local resident, blaring music at all times during the day. The downstairs bedroom smells of damp, and only having a shower over the bRead moreath in the 2nd bathroom wasn't ideal. The upstairs living room is small and sofas not overly comfortable. Nice cottage but just too noisy for us. Hide

This accommodation is excellent, clean, tidy and well equipped. Ideally situated, minutes away from Brixham centre, and the Manor Pub about 30 metres away! As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep, not ideal if you have mobility issues. Already booked for next year.

We loved this cottage. Very clean and well equipped. Perfect location so close to the harbour. Prompt response to boiler issue. Lovely place to rest and relax in, to enjoy local sights, walks and food and to visit the Torbay area.

Quaint cottage in a perfect location. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The harbour is easily accessible as is the parking. We paid 28 for a 4 day pass which we could use in most car parks in the area.

We discovered Brixham's enchanting allure in this gem of a location at the heart of the picturesque town. We enjoyed delightful takeaways and charming shops nearby, while the immaculately clean cottage offers a well-equipped kitchen and a sophisticated loft-style bedroom. An 8-day parking pass from Torbay Council adds convenience to explore the areRead morea. Though the basement bedroom needs some attention, it can easily be revitalised. The cottage was absolutely beautiful and located within easy access of the local pub and the harbour. Our first time staying in Brixham in a cottage as we normally do B and B, but would book again without hesitation. The only downside (if you could call it that) is the steep steps. Not good for anyone elderly.
