This neat home in the St Mary’s area of Brixham is the perfect base for a couple or small family plus two dogs wanting walks on the beach, fish and chips by the harbour, and easy access to the famous English Riviera.

Stylishly decorated, the open-plan living area has a simple, fresh vibe with natural finishes, white walls, and splashes of colour throughout. Rooms are light, airy, and adorned with comfortable furnishings while a log burner in the lounge makes things cosy on chilly nights. After a day of exploring, relax on the soft sofa in the lounge or pull up a chair in the adjoining seating area. The seating area overlooks the courtyard and is the perfect spot for nibbles, chat, and evening drinks. When it’s time to eat, rustle up dinner in the modern, kitted-out kitchen and then dine in the snug dining room. But if you’re not in the mood to cook, it’s only a pretty stroll (100 metres) to the nearby restaurants. Once you’ve enjoyed a good meal, your dog can stretch his legs one last time back home in the courtyard before you retire upstairs and enjoy a good night’s sleep in your effortlessly neat bed.

St Mary’s Bay (1 mile) is a delightful, sandy beach and a good place for a swim or to walk your dog. From here, jump on the South West Coast Path and spot dolphins as you walk along the cliff path to Berry Head (1 mile). Be sure to also head to Brixham Harbour (1 mile), stroll along the breakwater, and stop for some delicious seafood at one of the restaurants. Alternatively, jump on the ferry and make the 30-minute crossing along the English Riviera to the vibrant seaside town of Torquay.
