Perfect for a family get-together, this bright, modern property has rural views and a safely enclosed garden that’s perfect for dogs and children to play while adults enjoy the fresh air. A relaxing home-from-home, it’s a great base for exploring the beaches, coast and countryside of delightful East Devon.

This impressive property has been immaculately decorated with accents of vivid colour throughout. Step into the spacious lounge, where there’s a Smart TV for entertainment and an electric fire in case you need some extra warmth. The kitchen offers all you’ll need to prepare family meals, including a range-style cooker and a dishwasher. Sit at the breakfast bar and keep the cook company, and when you’re ready to eat there’s a separate dining area leading off this room. One of the three bedrooms is on this floor – a bunk-bed room with a single bed over a double. Head up to the first floor to find the king-size bedroom, with an area of low, sloping ceiling, and the single room (also with low, sloping ceilings), which boasts a trundle bed that can become a king-size on request. The family bathroom includes a bath and a separate shower. From the lounge, open the glazed doors to the garden, which has a decked area with a bench seat plus a shingled dining area – just the spot to enjoy the sunshine while you grill something delicious on the BBQ.

Adjoining the owner’s home, the cottage is close to the village of Aylesbeare, surrounded by countryside where walking and bird watching will be high on your list of things to do. If some retail therapy is calling, head to Exeter, just 8 miles, where you can also visit its magnificent cathedral, Roman wall and quayside. For days at the beach, Exmouth and Sidmouth are both within 9 miles.

comfortable house that has no smoke alarms!!!!!!! Towels provided.........3 hand towels and NO bath towels for 6 guests

The cottage was lovely and spacious and very comfortable. The downstairs bedroom was cold.

be careful of the shower as it is scalding hot if you have children! the outside little lake and fields are lovely to enjoy with the dogs and we loved going to Greendale farm shop and to eat, it is 2 minutes away! we spent most of our time at Exmouth beach which was divine and so much has been invested there clearly. i was a little disappointedRead more to walk into the garden and see dog poop and in every other say, we bought our own but these were supplied but we had none with us so had to purchase and then clean up.
