Just a short 300-metre stroll to the village centre with its maze of narrow lanes, brightly painted cottages, and quayside. A variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants in the village offer a wide range of cuisine and local seafood, and there are galleries showcasing local arts and crafts. A seasonal ferry takes passengers across the estuary to the pretty village of Instow with its sandy beach. Or visit the 2 miles of golden sands at Westward Ho! renowned for surfing (2 miles). And the pannier market town of Bideford (3 miles) is home to MS Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island.
Stepping into the property from the stepped pathway, you are greeted by a welcoming entrance hall before the lounge on your right, providing a comfortable space from which to relax with Smart TV and feature fireplace, comfy sofas one being a fully reclining sofa and ambient lighting makes it a cosy space. Leading on back through the hallway you reach a kitchen/diner. The kitchen space has everything you could need to cater for your stay. A utility area just outside the rear door provides a washing machine. When night falls there are two bedrooms, the first is on the first floor and has a king size bed with glimpses towards Appledore estuary. The family bathroom is also on this floor and offers a spacious room with bath, shower over and WC. Heading on up to the second floor you will find a good size room with a double and a single bed with Velux window.
Stepping outside there are two areas in which to sit and relax. One at the front which is opposite the front door and has a small lawn area and storage shed. The other is accessed via the kitchen; steps at the rear of the property lead to a larger patio area with garden table, chairs and BBQ.
