The Captains House is a beautiful period terraced property set in an elevated position, capturing the views towards Capstone Hill, Hillsborough and the sea beyond. The views can be appreciated from the main reception rooms and most of the bedrooms. A spacious house ideal for family holidays with accommodation arranged on three levels. The Captains House offers five bedrooms and many original features. It is tastefully complemented by a mix of period and modern furnishings. The entrance leads into an open plan dining room with natural wood floor and ample space for family gatherings. Slate flooring complements the adjacent and well fitted modern kitchen. A small utility area off the kitchen includes a door to the rear garden and store. There is a small, cosy sitting room complete with woodburning stove together with a separate playroom, well equipped to appeal to children. Three bedrooms, all with natural wood flooring, are located on the first floor, two with lovely views and flexible sleeping arrangements. The third bedroom is more ideal for children, these rooms are all served by a modern bathroom with white suite located off the half landing. There is also a further large well equipped family bathroom. On the second floor the two remaining bedrooms have sea views from the dormer windows, please note both these rooms have sloping ceilings. A high level garden to the rear has several small fenced terraced areas, plus a decked area, all accessed by steep steps so please take extra care, and small children may need supervision. The small terrace to the front is ideal for watching the sunset. Ilfracombe has a variety of shops, restaurants, an attractive harbour and the Tunnels Beach. Boat trips can be taken from the harbour and the Landmark Theatre offers a variety of programmes. The Captains House is a popular destination.
