Nestling in the heart of Dunster, a unique medieval village within the beautiful Exmoor National Park sits Weavers Cottage, the perfect place for an active family holiday or relaxing romantic break. Situated in a terrace of quaint properties including shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants, the main entrance door, with two steps up, opens directly into a spacious open plan living / dining room. Comfortable leather sofas surround a feature fireplace with coal flame effect gas fire, a real treat for cosy evenings and there is one step up to the ample dining area where you can enjoy a leisurely meal whilst watching the world go by. A further step up leads to the kitchen, quite compact but well equipped and the rear entrance door gives access to a narrow courtyard with garden seat. A steep staircase as may be expected in a cottage of this era leads up to a stylishly presented double bedroom featuring a chaise lounge and bookcases with a huge selection of reading material . A further staircase brings you to a spacious landing area with comfy futon seating and small desk and chair. The second lovely bedroom on this floor has both a double and single bed providing flexible sleeping arrangements. As this room is at the top of the cottage it has a lower ceiling height. A separate modern family bathroom on the first floor serves both bedrooms. The National Trusts 11th Century Dunster Castle is just a short stroll from the cottage and the village itself boasts over two hundred listed buildings, including Weavers, giving it a unique historical quality. Explore miles of cycle paths, bridleways and outstanding country walkways in the surrounding areas, or just relax, enjoy the scenery and visit other pretty Exmoor villages nearby. Whichever choice you make, Weavers Cottage is a charming home to return to at the end of the day.
