Paignton Food & Drink

As you would expect for a family seaside resort, Paignton offers a wide choice of place to eat and to suit everyone’s budget. Overlooking the old harbour is Olive, a tapas style eatery with a wonderful terrace. On the other side of the harbour is TJ’s Restaurant, serving local fish and seafood also with an outdoor eating area and fabulous views across to Torquay.

La Scala, is an Italian restaurant just off the main beach and always popular with locals and tourist alike. For the more adventurous Thai Jasmine and Nepalese Gurkhas can be found on Winner Street just behind Palace Avenue.

Slap bang next to Goodrington, one of the most beautiful dog friendly beaches in the bay, is Cantina Kitchen and Bar. Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, this lovely eatery has got it covered. If you are a gin lover then this is the place for you as they make their own.

And of course, don’t forget to try the famous triple-cooked chips from Scoofs or the more traditional fryer, Mariners both can be found in the town centre.
