Thurlestone & Hope Cove Area Guide

The picturesque village of Thurlestone, situated in an Area of Outstanding Beauty, is named after Thurlestone Rock, the impressive arch shaped rock situated just off the coast. Located away from the main seaside resorts of South Devon, and with two main beaches which are both sheltered and gently sloping, making the shallow waters perfect for small children to splash around in.

Before Salcombe is another pretty village called Hope Cove, sheltered by the headland of Bolt Tail. It has two wonderful beaches which have lifeguards on duty during the summer months. Mouthwell Sands to the north and the longer Harbour beach offer the perfect mix of sand and rocky areas, ideal to keep the whole family entertained making sandcastles and rock pooling.
