ILFRACOMBE’S new Dotto land train has arrived in the town after a gruelling journey from Italy.
The purple and cream train, which will take tourists on tours of Ilfracombe, was unloaded on Tuesday, November 19.
The Dotto, which has a maximum speed of 10mph will be deliberately kept off the main road to help prevent traffic problems but the route will take in the Tunnel Beaches, swimming pool and Landmark Theatre and is expected to run on an hourly basis.
The two-carriage Dotto train was built in Italy and carries up to 50 passengers.
The train will be officially unveiled to the public at the Christmas lights switch-on, on Wednesday, November 27. Events for the Christmas switch on commence from 5pm.
