It's that time of year when we dread getting on the bathroom scales! But there is still time to beat the post Christmas bulge and have fun at the same time thanks to the ice rink at Eden near St Austell.

The magical rink, near the biommes, remains open until Sunday March 2nd and has sessions to suit all ages and abilities, including sessions for beginners, ice discos on some Friday evenings and delicious new rink-side food. This year sees the return of the penguins (pictured) which help young skaters to gain confidence on the ice.

There is limited capacity for all the skating sessions, so please pre-book to avoid disappointment. Each person will also need to have a valid admission ticket to the Eden Project.

Each session, which lasts 40 minutes, costs £6 per person. The penguins are 91.5cm tall and although there is no minimum height restriction, the user does need to be able to walk and reach the handle. The maximum height for use is 130cm and they cost £4 per session.
