Exclusive- Professional surfer Lyndon Wake's first blog 'The Summer is on its way'
As i write this blog I'm sitting at Lyndon Wake Surf School sipping on a Baggy latte overlooking a very summery looking Croyde Bay.
With the previous winter being one of the worst on record i'm sure these moments are what holiday makers and locals alike have all been waiting for and with any luck it will continue all the way through until the next winter.
Surfing is the name of the game in the North Devon region and there is plenty on offer.
For me it's what I live for and when I began surfing just over 10 years ago I would of never dreamt that something I love doing would become my career and something that I could share with
As a Ripcurl team rider surfing has allowed me to travel the world, meet amazing people and surf amongst the worlds best. However there is nothing I love more than being at home running my surf school (lyndon wake surf school) and seeing the smiles on people's faces when they catch there first wave.
This year is looking like a very bright one both with the sunshine and the arrangement of new things. One of the most exciting things has been affiliating with Marsdens Cottage Holidays properties. Originally hailing from London many of my family come to visit the area and have shared great memories in Marsdens top quality and high standard holiday homes.
Along with Made In Chelsea star Andy Jordan who is a 2014 resident surf instructor here we are working with Marsdens to provide the best holiday experience in North Devon. You can now be assured to get the best accommodation. The best surf & coasteering experience and be a part of a proper devon summer!
