A little gem...

Last weekend, I took the opportunity to visit family who were staying at one of our cottages in Lynmouth.

My family were very impressed  with River Cottage (Tors Road, Lynmouth) and not only loved the cottage itself, its gorgeous river views but also the fact that it was only a 5 minute walk from everything you need.

I had forgotten what a truly remarkable place it is.

Lynmouth is a quaint traditional village that boasts some stunning landscapes - river views, a harbour, and its unique railway, just to name a few.

And, you just can’t beat the atmosphere of the village.  I felt there was a lovely ‘buzz ‘around its shops, traditional tearooms, cafes and tourist centre, which were packed full with visitors, making the most of this mild autumn weather.

I feel Lynmouth is not like other popular tourist destinations, as it still remains largely unspoilt by modern life and has managed to keep hold of its traditional character.

Without a doubt, Lynmouth is a ‘real gem’ in North Devon.
