This week, we've been celebrating English Tourism Week, a week-long celebration of tourism in England to help kick-start the summer holiday season (14th-22nd March 2015)
Our customer service manager, Arlene Collins has been delivering delicious hampers packed full of locally sourced goodies to some of our guests who have booked holidays with us year-after-year.
Each hamper was packed full of delicious treats from local North Devon food producers to include: honey and chutney from Quince Honey Farm in South Molton, hand-roasted nuts from Cracking Nuts in Ilfracombe, jams and preserves from Brendon Hill Crafts in Barnstaple plus fudge from Yummies in Braunton.
One of our guests staying at The Willows in South Molton this week has booked 20 holidays with Marsdens Devon Cottages. Mrs Dieffenthaller said "We have visited North Devon in the Spring for the last 20 years because we love the variety and beauty of the landscape and coastline, and the interesting towns, art galleries potteries and markets.
We like South Molton and its proximity to Exmoor, the Taw and Torridge estuary and the main road network which also gives easy access to Dartmoor, Tavistock and Bovey Tracey, which we always visit in the south of the county. Our chosen cottage is ideal for us, comfortable and well-equipped, with an enclosed pretty garden suitable for the dog...We shall continue to use them (Marsdens) as long as possible"
And pictured below is Mr and Mrs Ferguson, who have rebooked with Marsdens 10 times being presented with their hamper by Arlene at Bamboo holiday cottage, Croyde. Mrs Ferguson commented " We are so happy that we have found Bamboo in Croyde...such a wonderful quality holiday home and we can bring our dog as well....we could easily live here"
It's a real testimony to all our team here at Braunton, and the hard work of our housekeepers that so many of our visitors keep rebooking with us so many times. So, this week, whilst we were celebrating English Tourism Week, we thought this would be a good opportunity to let them know how much we appreciate their loyalty.
