This week (weather permitting), we are excited to see the return of the MV Balmoral to Ilfracombe.
Originally built in 1949, the MV Balmoral is one of the last surviving ships of its kind and has been fully restored due to coastal community grants and funds raised by volunteers.
Now operated by While Funnel Ltd, it is now back welcoming passengers onboard. With a self service restaurant, licensed bar, heated lounge and a large deck to view the changing scenery, the Balmoral offers a fantastic opportunity to explore and visit the most remarkable parts of the UK coastline in style.
From Wednesday (8th July), the MV Balmoral will set sail from Swansea to our wonderful North Devon seaside resort, Ilfracombe. And over the summer months, there are now plenty of cruises and excursions available to enjoy the spectacular North Devon Coastline. The MV Balmoral will typically set sail from Ilfracombe Harbour but will offer regular trips to Lundy Island, then also set sail via Morte Point to Bideford Bay and also onto Clovelly. Plus saling from Minehead Harbour, enroute it will cruise past the spectacular coastline of the Exmoor National Park (you can find a full timetable HERE).
There's definitely something for everyone to enjoy!
Need somewhere to stay, we have a fantastic choice of cottages and apartments in Ilfracombe and the surrounding area, find out more HERE
