We are off to Ilfracombe seafront this Saturday.
It’s promising to be a busy one – with 800 passengers from the MS Prinsendam cruise ship arriving in Ilfracombe at 8am.
Gloria and I have the honour of judging the Marsdens North Devon Street Food Awards. For the third year running, the seafront will be packed with street food vendors offering an array of mouth-watering tastes and delights from the around the world. Each vendor will be battling it out to win our taste buds to win cash prizes plus handcrafted trophies made by Shoreline Glass.
It’s such a popular event. The quality of the food is always outstanding. We are looking forward to judging this competition but it'll probably be difficult to choose the winners. There has definitely been a 'food revolution here in North Devon, with many new food vendors and producers providing excellent high quality dishes locally.
The Marsdens North Devon Street Food Awards are held each year in conjunction with “All things Morris” weekend – where there will be Morris dancers from the country attending and there is Morris and Friends’ classic car show on Sunday.
If you are in North Devon this weekend, we hope to see you there…
