Today, we are excited to see the return of the MV Balmoral to Ilfracombe today.

Originally built in 1949, the MV Balmoral is one of the last surviving ships of its kind that has been carefully restored due to coastal community grants and funds raised by volunteers.

This summer, the ship (operated by White Funnel Ltd) will welcome passengers aboard to enjoy excursions from Ilfracombe to offer regular trips along the coast to Bideford, visits to Lundy Island and cruises along the Exmoor coastline. There is also the fantastic opportunity to meet the PS Waverley - where the two historic ships will meet - as you cruise to Bull Point headland.

With a self-service restaurant, licensed bar, heated lounge and a large deck to view the changing scenery, the MV Balmoral really does offer a truly unique opportunity to explore and visit the stunning North Devon coastline.
