What’s your role at Marsdens? Regional Imagery Manager
How long have you lived in North Devon?
10 years, and before that very regular visits from Sussex in our 1970’s VW Camper Van for surfing trips!
What’s your absolute favourite place to visit in North Devon and why?
We are very lucky to have so many beautiful and diverse places to choose from, but to name a few it would be walking at Valley of Rocks near Lynton, surfing at Saunton Sands, stand up paddle boarding at Combe Martin or when we can, we love to visit Lundy Island on the MS Oldenburg.
What’s your favourite café or restaurant in the area and what would you choose to eat there?
The Coach House at Kentisbury Grange on Exmoor is a wonderful place to go for fine dining or special occasions, The Rising Sun in Lynmouth for fresh seafood, The Riverside in Braunton for amazing burgers and The Pyne Arms in East Down or The Rock in Georgeham for great Sunday roasts (I could go on!)
Where do you like to go if you’re a little bit thirsty and what’s your favourite tipple?
The Boat House in Instow has a lovely terrace and is the perfect place to watch the sunset with a cold glass of Sauvignon blanc (large!) as does The Pier House in Westward Ho! or a Mount Gay rum, fresh squeeze of lime and coke at the Ayka Rum Bar in Braunton (again I could go on!)
What’s your favourite hobby or activity to do in North Devon and how do you unwind after a busy day in the office?
Photography is my passion and I never lose inspiration living in such a beautiful place, my camera usually comes everywhere with me! I also love to go stand up paddleboarding with my husband or belly boarding on our old fashion wooden boards, sunset beach walks on Croyde or Saunton or dancing the night away at one of the many music do’s available to us.
What’s the one thing in North Devon you couldn’t live without?
The stunning scenery and being so near to the sea.
