With challenging cycle trails, horseback riding, and hiking routes, you'll always be caught up in things to see and do. Eggeford (8 miles) is a lovely place for birdwatchers to explore. Bring your binoculars and admire green woodpeckers, treecreepers and nuthatches here. Alternatively, pop by the market town of Chumleigh (1 mile) and tuck into homemade scones with cream and jam.
