Set amidst rural tranquillity, this cottage - formerly the old dairy to the owner's adjoining farmhouse - is near the South Devon coastline and perfectly positioned for you to enjoy its peaceful location yet still be within easy reach of all the attractions the area has to offer. Whether curled up in the warmth of its cosy interiors or outside in the garden, the views of the surrounding Devonshire landscape are sure to take your breath away.

This lovingly renovated country cottage provides a real home-from-home. The lounge has comfortable seating where you can sit and enjoy your holiday reads, watch TV or chat about the day's adventures. The charming dining room is the perfect place to enjoy a family meal, perhaps prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, where you can admire delightful views of the garden while you cook. Those country views are also to be enjoyed in the plush, comfortable king-size bedroom or from the beautiful garden with a pot of tea and the morning papers.

If you are not relaxing in the lovely enclosed garden or enjoying a BBQ, you might like to stroll the half-mile into the local village of Aylesbeare, where there is a friendly pub/restaurant. The whole family will enjoy a day at Crealy Adventure Park (4 miles) and Raceworld Indoor Karting (4 miles) might provide some competitive fun. The natural landscape of Woodbury Common is only 5 miles away and some spectacular beaches and coastal walks are to be found in Sidmouth (9 miles), Budleigh Salterton (9 miles) and Exmouth (10 miles). The cathedral city of Exeter (7 miles) has a broad spread of attractions and amusements for all ages.

This is our third year of staying at this property. As always, we had a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Melanie is a welcoming and friendly host, and the cottage is comfortable and homely. It is in a fantastic location for visiting all that the area has to offer. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing week here. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Well placed to visit East Devon - Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe, Exeter, Budleigh are all within 20 minutes drive. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely few days stay at The Dairy. Melanie was on hand to greet us. She gave as much information as we required both about the cottage and the surrounding area. Having a secluded outside area was great for the lovely weather we had at the time. A quiet and relaxing area. Easy access to neighbouring towns although transport is essential. An extremely well equipped and immaculately clean property. Melanie is a very friendly and helpful host. Stairs in property will be a real challenge if you have mobility issues as the bathroom is downstairs .

Great cosy cottage in a lovely rural location. Lovely owner who was very helpful. Had a real homely feel. WiFi was fantastic and the TV signal was strong, great for families who are entertaining kids. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

The cottage had everything we needed. It was comfortable and a great location for exploring the area. Melanie was very welcoming and though the weather wasnt the best, the cottage was lovely and warm. Just watch out for the seagulls at Exmouth!

Lovely,homely, traditional cottage. Downstairs bathroom, modern and clean, did not find it an issue during our stay. Small but functional kitchen, served it's purpose adequately. Another wonderful holiday in south Devon, staying at The Dairy. Melanie is a friendly and welcoming host, always happy to help. The cottage is very well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Stayed in this property for a week. You are very close to the airport but we never heard any noise. The property is nice relaxed and quiet. It was clean tidy and very spacious. Lovely host and great location . Everywhere seemed within easy reach. Countryside, sea and heritage sites all on the doorstep our longest drive was around d 30 minutes . An immaculately kept and furnished cottage with well surfaced approach drive, and easy parking. Ideal for two people, but a party of four would probably struggle a bit as there is only one toilet. Kitchen could be better lit, but is adequately equipped, although we did virtually no cooking as a holiday should not mean struggling over a hot stove !

The cottage is really clean,well equipped and is set in a lovely quiet location with parking outside the front door. Close to Exmouth and Bicton Botanical Park which are both well worth a visit. Also Teignmouth is only 30 minutes away. Very pleased with our choice of cottage ! David
