This stunning cottage in the heart of Mid-Devon offers a rural setting with gorgeous views of the Devon countryside. Situated in the grounds of the popular Waie Inn, you can make the most of their facilities, which include a shared swimming pool, soft play area, outdoor playground, fishing lakes, a sports hall and much more. Its central location allows guests to explore many areas of the county, whether it’s the sandy beaches of East Devon, the rugged landscape of Dartmoor National Park or the beautiful city of Exeter.

On the outside, its attractive stone façade blends into its rural location and the private outside dining area is perfect for sitting back and taking in the far reaching views. Stepping inside, a contemporary, but comfortable feel has been created throughout with cool, neutral tones. The relaxing lounge area has doors that lead outside so that the countryside is never far away. From here, you can also access one of the twin rooms. There is an on-site pub offering good food, but if you fancy staying in, the modern kitchen/diner is well-equipped, spacious and has ample seating. Upstairs, you’ll find the double bedroom and the other twin.

With so many on-site activities you may not want to leave, but if you do, there is also lots to see and do nearby. Dartmoor is 11 miles away for walking and amazing views. National Trust properties Knightshayes (23 miles) and Killerton (20 miles) both have stately homes and gardens to explore. Finally, you must visit Exeter (18 miles) for its shops, cafes and stunning Cathedral. Explore this city and uncover the Underground Tunnels, see the magnificent Cathedral and visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.

The cottage is spacious, it has everything you need for the week. The cottage was clean, but there was cob webs and fluff in places which had been missed. We removed the rug in the lounge as it had lots of tiny bits on it. The bedroom on the ground floor bedroom has no window, it did get a little stuffy at times. Fridge is set to 5 on arrive, turn Read moreit down to 1 or your food will be frozen by morning. Definitely check time table for pool before using, they have it booked out most of the time. Hide

Great little cottage and good value for family holiday. Fabulous views from lounge access and quiet and serene. Complementary cookies and milk were a nice touch. The pub staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the food was good quality at a great price. We have family in Devon and would stay here again.

It is in a lovely location with beautiful views, however the cottage could do with a refresh. There is NO HANDRAIL FOR THE STEEP STAIRS OR BATH GRAB RAIL Several bulbs needed to be replaced in the dark kitchen including the fridge light and the one over the hob. The patio furniture was broken, and the bathrooms needed a re-grout. The pub food was eRead morexcellent and the service very friendly. The playground and sports were excellent once we realised we had to ask for the key as it is not left open Hide
