Situated on a 243-acre working farm with stunning views across the countryside, this property promises an idyllic stay to guests. Cosy and comfortable with plenty of charm, it is ideal for those looking for a secluded rural break. Relax in the sunshine in the hot tub in the large enclosed garden, sipping prosecco and soaking up the rays. If it’s not warm enough outside, snuggle up in front of the wood burner in the open-plan living space.

Head up the small steps to the converted barn and you’ll find huge exposed stone and beams that remind you of the property’s history. The interiors embrace the farmhouse style that’s well-preserved in Devon, including lots of beautiful pine and neutral colours. Cook up a storm in the spacious kitchen that has everything you need, then enjoy it at the table for five, discussing your plans for the rest of your holiday. Unwind in the evening sun on the bench at the front of the house, looking out over the lawn that is perfect for children to play games on.

Take the short 5-mile drive to the town of Crediton where you’ll find plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops to keep you busy for the afternoon or go for a round of golf at the Downes Crediton Golf Club (7 miles). Walkers will delight in the rugged landscapes of Dartmoor (30 miles) and Exmoor National Parks (21 miles), or you can take a more leisurely stroll around the winding paths by the river at Fingle Bridge (16 miles).

A lovely stay and friendly welcome from the owner on arrival. The cottage was perfect for our needs - very comfy lounge, everything in the kitchen we needed and the beds were comfy. Obviously the hot tub is great. The small lawned area is good too for kids playing on - sadly the rain prevented that for most of the week, but it didn't stop us gettinRead moreg out and about. Clean and simple accommodation with everything in good condition. Lovely quiet location but a bit of a drive to get anywhere! The hot tub was excellent and the water stayed crystal clear all week.

What a lovely cottage! We were made to feel very welcome and had all the facilities we needed to keep three teenage boys entertained for a week that just flew by far too quickly. It was a very last minute booking too and we're very glad we found this.

Weve stayed here twice now and its a lovely rental for a family of 5 with kids aged 8-5. The hot tub is a lovely treat and the location is fabulous for autumnal walks from the property. Lots of good days out as well all within 40-60 minute drive. Great value for money and the local cider (Sanford Orchards) is excellent.
