With Brixham harbour virtually on its doorstep, this delightful holiday cottage is a fantastic spot for a waterside retreat. Comfortable and homely, families or small groups have the chance to enjoy a blissful moment of peace, breathing in the salty sea air through the open windows or from the quaint courtyard garden.
Attractive original period features throughout the three-storey cottage add charm, with an exposed-brick fireplace housing a cosy wood burner, plus a pretty stained-glass window between the lounge and kitchen. There are contemporary touches too, with a conservatory dining space flooded with natural light, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Three bedrooms comfortably sleep four, and there’s garden furniture on the enclosed patio to the rear of the property, for al fresco feasts.
The cottage is located just a few hundred metres from the bustling harbour, where you can board a relaxing boat tour of Torbay or perhaps get your catch of the day aboard a fishing boat. You won’t be short of things to do in the town, from beaches to scuba diving, delicious seafood restaurants, and even a fascinating replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship The Golden Hind. Paignton is just 6 miles around the bay, where families can enjoy a trip to its popular zoo, while the aquarium at Torquay (9 miles) is also well worth a visit.
