Property code: BX022

Full of character, this former fisherman’s cottage is perched in a fantastic elevated position above Brixham’s bustling harbour. Relax in the cosy lounge and enjoy breathtaking views of the harbour and bay beyond or retire to the pretty enclosed patio for al fresco drinks as the sun sets. Whether you’re looking for a small family break or a romantic couples' retreat, you’ve found it here.

The cottage is spread over three floors, with the dining room and kitchen found on the cool lower ground floor. Some original features have been retained throughout, like the exposed stone walls in the ground floor living room, adding to the cosy and homely atmosphere. There are contemporary touches too, including the large corner windows in the lounge that make the most of that incredible sea view.

Walking just 400 metres away, you’ll find yourself harbourside. Take to the waves and enjoy a boat trip around the bay, spotting wild dolphins if you’re lucky. Keen fishermen and women will be thrilled with the fishing trips that leave here daily. If you prefer to stay on dry land, there is plenty to see and do; explore the self-guided walking trail and follow in the footsteps of Brixham’s infamous pirates, or check out the local shops and restaurants. There’s an abundance of sandy beaches too, including secluded coves away from the hustle and bustle.

  • Smart TV
  • Wi-Fi included

A beautiful quirky cottage with stunning views. We had everything we needed for our stay and found it very comfortable. Not spotlessly clean but perfectly adequate. We loved the cottage and would recommend it to others.

We had a fantastic time at Brixham in this beautiful cottage overlooking the harbour. The panoramic views were totally amazing. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped too. There is an excellent bathroom on the top floor with a good shower. Thoroughly recommended location for a holiday, especially for couples.

This was a return visit, we love Brixham and the ever changing view out of the living and back bedroom windows. The town and house have lots of stairs, but the views are amazing. The house is clean but would be greatly improved by having an upgrade, painting and kitchen cupboards, however this doesnt distract from our stay. Received no communication from the owners for the duration of our stay. No phone call, text or even a note through the door. We had to guess what to do with the door key at the end of our week. Apart from that, the location and house proved to be of a decent standard to us. Parking a nightmare.

The cottage is great value for money. Normally we would only consider 4 stars but as this was last minute we gave a 3 star property a try and we were very impressed. The house was clean, well equipped and has everything we needed. The seating in the lounge area could be a bit more comfortable but that is being quite picky. The views from the properRead morety were amazing and included a harbour and sea view. It is Brixham though so if you want a brilliant view you will need to climb some steep steps Hide
