Located just seconds from Brixham’s Breakwater Beach, this delightful marine house couldn’t be better placed for a seaside escape. It boasts a seafront balcony, where you can enjoy breakfast alfresco as you watch the morning waves. Sleeping six in three bedrooms, it’s perfect for families looking for a traditional yet contemporary beach break.
On the ground floor, a king-size bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room, while to make the most of the view, the spacious lounge/diner and kitchen can be found on the first floor. Large windows and patio doors flood the rooms with light, creating a warm, restful space. Subtle nautical nods are found throughout, so wherever you are in the house, you’re not far from the sea.
Breakwater Beach is Brixham’s main beach, named after its impressive 0.5-mile-long breakwater. Here you can make your way out into the water and enjoy the incredible views back to town. It’s also a popular spot for fishing, as is the town’s harbour, which lies just 350 yards from the property. The harbour is also the starting point for many pleasure trips around the bay, to Torquay (9 miles by road) and to Paignton (6 miles by road). If you’re lucky, you may even spot the dolphins who visit Torbay from time to time.
