Set in one of Appledore’s charming and colourful side-streets, this traditional fisherman’s cottage makes a fantastic base for a holiday. The cottage features a stylish kitchen/diner which leads onto a charming balcony with a spacious patio area where you can sit back and enjoy a meal alfresco and admire the river views. There’s also a comfortable lounge with a traditional wood burner set in a stone fireplace, and a small balcony just off the lounge with a seating area. There are three comfortable bedrooms: a double room on the ground floor, and, heading up the steep cottage-style stairs, a twin room and a single room with an additional pull-out bed.
The vibrant fishing village of Appledore features a fantastic choice of restaurants pubs, chip shops and art galleries, and is home to the North Devon Maritime Museum, which explores the village’s seafaring heritage. There are lovely sandy beaches nearby in Westward Ho! and across the river in Instow (which can be reached via ferry) or you could enjoy the beautiful Northam Burrows Country Park. The market town of Barnstaple is just 13 miles away and family attractions within 13 miles include The BIG Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park and Tapeley Park.
