If you prefer trains, hop on the Dartmouth Steam Railway that passes through Brixham on its way to Kingswear (6 miles), where you can catch a ferry across to the popular town of Dartmouth. If you prefer something livelier, head to Splashdown Quay West Waterpark (5 miles). Or for animal lovers, Paignton Zoo is only 4 miles away. Alternatively, a day on the beach is always a good option and there are plenty to choose from.
