Set beside the sublime Northam Burrows Country Park and the wide golden sands of Westward Ho!, this standout holiday retreat will live forever in your memory. Explore the town's range of independent shops, pubs, eateries and galleries, learn to surf, visit Lundy Island or play a round at the outstanding Royal North Devon Golf Club (1 mile). Appledore (2.5 miles) has a marvellous Maritime Museum and some cosy pubs. The Big Sheep (3 miles) is a great all-weather family fun attraction, and Bideford (3.5 miles) has a plethora of restaurants and art, craft and antique shops.

Inside the reverse-level house, you'll find sleek style, bounteous blue views and bright spaces. The ground floor bedrooms are light and tranquil, with nautical shades and fabrics; the super king-size has a superb en-suite, and the twin has access to the rear patio. Unwind in the sleek contemporary bathroom and unplug in the snug. Upstairs, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is joyous, with front, rear and kitchen balconies; views to Northam Burrows and out to the Atlantic are breathtaking. Clovelly (12.5 miles) is a unique time-bubble with famously steep, cobbled streets and independent shops and cafes for you to pop into while there. Explore the wild Hartland Peninsular (17 miles), with its windswept clifftop walks, Abbey, Lighthouse and Quay. From Barnstaple (11 miles) you can access Newquay, St Ives and Penzance by rail.

A very well equipped, comfortable holiday home. Sea views from upstairs in the open plan kitchen and longe. Great location, only a short distance from shops and beach. Would recommend a stay here.

Lovely well equipped house. As there were only two of us (plus the dog), we used it as an apartment - only using the downstairs to enter property & get to garden. 2nd of 4 planned trips to area this year & while house value was good this time of year, I wouldnt pay peak prices. This is a lovely modern house with excellent plentiful equipment in an excellent position. Its very close to shops , the beach and coast path. The beds and sofa were very comfortable and easy to use. There are some very good restaurants and cafes in Westward Ho and everything is within a short stroll.

What a wonderful property in a fabulous location with gorgeous views! The bedrooms and bathrooms are so lovely, kitchen perfect with an absolutely brilliant array of pans, crockery and cutlery. The games room was such a great place to have a bit of fun. 100% recommend for a getaway!

The house is perfectly positioned for easy access to the beach & town. It was nice & quiet when we visited in October & we loved the views from the lounge, across the Burrows & out to the sea. Our third visit to Wilkeys Beach House and were already talking about when were going to return next year. We love Westward Ho! and enjoy our annual trip; now weve found Wilkeys, we wouldnt stay anywhere else. Just me, my husband and our Dalmatian but the property can comfortably sleep 6; we just love the space, garden and the views. Lovely, modern, clean and well equipped house in a great location. It should be noted that this is an upside-down house and the only door to the garden and games room is via a bedroom.

A beutiful house in a great location. No need to move the car if you dont want to leave the village. The dogs loved it and its location next to the nature reserve and the beach is ideal.

We had a great holiday at Wilkies beach house. It`s in a good location - quiet and peaceful but near to all amenities. The games room is a great bonus with pool table, dartboard and lots of beach stuff etc. The dogs have to go through a bedroom to get to the garden but this was no trouble at all to us. Very high spec property with excellent kitchen and bathrooms. Views of the sea from the smart yet cosy feeling sitting room are wonderful. Bedrooms and linen were lovely. Lovely house with great quality furniture and kitchen in a perfect location. We felt relaxed and at home as soon as we walked through the front door. All uk holiday cottages have gone up in cost but you could see what you were paying for with this one.

This was our second stay in 12 months. I'm always apprehensive of re booking the same cottage again, especially when our first visit was so good. On arrival we noticed the improvements to the front garden and the new touches throughout the house. We loved our recent visit, eventhough the weather wasn't perfect. A great house. Everything you could possibly need is there. A home from home. A great travel cot with extra mattress, made baby sleep just like home. Very clean on arrival, plus cleaning equipment for you to use throughout your stay. A lovely fully enclosed garden. Beautiful views of the sea and fields. Would definitely recommend.
