Situated in a peaceful location just 13 miles from popular seaside town Bude, this fantastic property is ideal for large families or groups of friends looking for a countryside retreat. Sleeping ten across five bedrooms, this holiday let is spacious and welcoming and offers a sociable space for everyone to get together and catch up. Sizzle up a BBQ in the courtyard and dine alfresco, enjoying your favourite tipple as the children play on the lawn.

Whether you’re off exploring the grounds and enjoying on-site fishing on the River Waldon or you’re simply enjoying a lie-in in one of the cosy bedrooms, everyone will find their favourite spot here. Cook up a storm in the stylish kitchen diner where whites and greys make it a pleasure to prepare meals in; enjoy sociable meals at the dining table or head through the back door to dine outside. Snuggle up on the sofa in the formal lounge among the crackles of the wood burner while the children play in the second lounge; this is also a great spot for hiding away for an hour with a good book.

Energetic groups will love the activities on offer at the Tamar Lakes Country Park (7.5 miles), which include kayaking, canoeing and even windsurfing. Have a unique day out at the delightful Gnome Reserve (5.5 miles) where you’ll spot over 60 gnomes and pixies in the woodland and wildflower meadows. The Milky Way Adventure Park (14 miles) is thrilling for adrenaline-junkie kids, or take a slower day in Clovelly (17 miles) and wander its pretty shops, cafes and beautiful harbour.

Lovely house and beautiful garden . The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we did make use of the dishwasher as we were a party of 10 adults for most of the time. Thanks for the box of essentials on arrival. The information file was particularly helpful as we didnt know the area. Maps and info re walks and beaches. Spent lovely time at CrackingRead moreton Haven but missed out on the crab sandwiches- best to get there early for parking and cafe! Highly recommended! Hide

Just returned from West Wonford House a true gem. Set in beautiful countryside and well manicured gardens. The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. Only 20 min drive from Bude and stunning beaches. Holsworthy short drive away for shopping and Blackberry farm. Would definitely book again. Fabulous hosts and welcome gift. Excellent accommodation for multi generation use. Thank you for goodies left for us. Fantastic fully equipped kitchen, and how lovely to be able to get all 10 of us comfortably around the table. The laundry room was a bonus with pre schoolers. Fantastic to have a pantry as well. An amazing selection of books and toys in the house, and 2 lounges meaRead morent that toys were kept to one room. What a wonderful Christmas we've had. Gareth & Sally and their children couldn't have been more welcoming. The house was perfect for us over the Christmas period as it boasted 3 downstairs living spaces which meant that the adults, teens and kids could all have their own space when needed and we could have noisy and quiet rooms! Very very quiet location away from main roads. Not too far to go to Bude but we did end up driving a fair amount. Lovely extended garden to which you have access and concrete yard for kids to play in. Short of comfortable outdoor furniture, but couldn't have used it anyway! BBQ, but small for the size the cottage caters for and couldn't find the utRead moreensils. Plenty of space and clean decoration. Sadly weather was..!! We loved staying at West Wonford House. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. It worked very well for our three generations! Gareth and Sally are superb hosts. They were on hand to answer any questions and check all was well. They also left us some lovely treats! We would definitely return.

We had a fantastic time over the Easter holiday. Owner living nearby is really a helpful gentleman. We walk around holiday home and found a lovely farm nearby. Friendly people in this small village. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay here and the house was absolutely perfect for 9 of us. Plenty of space for the children to play and really well equippped. The owners had left a lovely welcome basket for our arrival with some treats in and were on hand during our stay. I recommend the walk to the local farm shop. We sampled the breakfast, cakes and savouRead morery snacks and they were all delicious! Overall a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Hide

Lovely, clean house and friendly owners. We appreciated the chocolates and biscuits, thank you! There is a pretty, quaint cafe at the local farm that does delicious cream teas and the beaches are beautiful.
