This stunning coastal loft apartment nestles in the grounds of the owner’s impressive home, and boasts cosy and comfortable accommodation together with fabulous sea views.

The romantic bolthole, high on the hill above Paignton, looks out over the rooftops to the sea beyond. The beautiful apartment is within walking distance of the bustling seaside town, as well as its long sandy beach (1 mile). If you’re looking for traditional seaside charm, you won’t be disappointed. Stroll along the promenade with an ice cream, relive your childhood on the pier and take holiday snaps in front of the colourful beach huts. A great way to experience the beauty of the English Riviera is on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, which you can board in Paignton.

The stylish loft apartment is situated next to the owner’s luxury coastal home, yet privacy and seclusion are assured. A small flight of stairs leads from the parking area and once inside you’ll be met with crisp, clean lines and chic furniture. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is bright and airy, thanks to floor-to-ceiling French doors which open onto a Juliet balcony. Relax on the comfy sofa and watch the Smart TV or simply sit back and admire the magnificent views. Outside, there’s a fabulous glass-fronted patio where you can enjoy a meal for two in the sunshine, looking out to sea.

Wander down to Paignton’s 18th-century harbour (2 miles) to watch the fishing boats coming and going and to sample a catch of the day at one of the exquisite seafood restaurants. After dinner, stroll hand in hand along the red sands of Fairy Cove, one of Paignton’s hidden gems, tucked away behind the harbour wall. Keen walkers will be in their element, with a wonderful selection of routes to explore. Pull on your hiking boots and stride out along the South West Coast Path to Brixham (6.6 miles) or head inland to discover the rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park (13 miles).

We had a lovely stay at the lodge, there was everything you needed and the view was amazing, the weather was kind to us so we were able to have an elfresco drink on the glass terrace. As other people have said you need to reverse onto the parking space.

Fabulous, very comfortable loft. Wow factor is given by the view. We used to idle away the odd hour with a glass of wine, whilst taking in the gorgeous view of bay. Apartment very central for local attractions and restaurants. We would thoroughly recommend.

A friendly welcome on arrival from the owners who are conveniently next door (not that we had to bother them about anything!) The view is superb and The Lodge was spotless with everything thing we needed and more (flowers were a lovely touch). Milk on arrival, along with tea bags and coffee, meant we could have a much needed cuppa. Access is a little difficult as the property is at the top of a one way street. From Upper Headland Park Road, we found it easier to turn intoRead more Upper Penns Road and going up the hill to access the drive. Lovely holiday cant wait to come back. Only negative was no bus stop near by its a 15 minute walk down a hill. Obviously a lot harder coming back up if you have any difficulty walking. That said its worth it as the property is perfect and has Amazing views. Full credit to the owners they are friendly without being intrusive.
