This beautiful lodge boasts far-reaching countryside views over fields and farmland and is situated in a country setting on the edge of Staple Cross, a small hamlet complete with a country pub. Within easy reach is Chimney Down Common (0.5 mile) a perfect place for your four-legged friends to let off steam. Centrally located to visit the towns of Bampton (6.5 miles), Wiveliscombe (8.5 miles), Wellington (9 miles) and Tiverton (8.5 miles) with shops, pubs and cafes. Walkers will be spoilt for choice as the local area encompasses the Blackdown Hills, Quantocks and Exmoor offering a mixture of wild moorland with lush, deep, wooded valleys and pretty villages to enjoy on foot, car, or bike. Wimbleball Lake (14.5 miles) offers water sports, fishing, bird watching and nature trails. For a day on the beach, explore the North Devon coastline with its small coves and sandy beaches, or Minehead on the Somerset coast.
On entering this single-storey detached lodge, you are immediately greeted by a light and airy kitchen/diner with space to hang coats. Bi-fold doors open onto a private enclosed decked area that enjoys panoramic countryside views, a perfect place for a peaceful breakaway. Head into the lounge and settle in for a snug evening watching a film on the Smart TV in front of the wood burner. The perfectly equipped kitchen is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. Head to the beautiful king-size bedroom and sleep tight after exploring the wonderful countryside. Completing the accommodation is an immaculate bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
Outside there is an enclosed decked area that enjoys stunning countryside views. Guests will find a table and chairs and a fire pit where a spot of al fresco dining and a drink under the star-filled skies can be enjoyed. You are very welcome to enjoy and explore the owners farmland, including woodland walks.
