Lovingly furnished, it would be hard to find a more peaceful retreat bursting with as much charm and character as this four-storey cottage, close to the South West Coast Path and a picturesque harbourfront.
The charm and character of this cottage, with its contemporary farmhouse-style interiors and wonderful original features, is carried through all four of the floors, beginning with the stylish, open-plan kitchen/diner on the ground floor, kitted out with everything you need to whip up a delicious family meal. Head upstairs to take the weight off on the comfortable sofa in the living room, and soothe tired walking muscles beside the wood burner housed inside an original exposed brickwork fireplace. Wind down in the double bedroom on the second floor with wonderful panoramic views over Brixham and beyond, or head right down to the lower ground floor to find a second en-suite bedroom, just as comfortable as the rest of the cottage. Take a walk 150 metres down the lane to reach Brixham Harbour to spot boats bobbing up and down whilst the fishermen reel in the catch of the day.
The picturesque harbourside town of Brixham offers many fishing opportunities and boat trips, plus a vibrant arts and culture scene with plenty of galleries, restaurants, cafes and independent shops to keep you entertained. Enjoy a stroll along the waterfront promenade less than half a mile away, journeying through the half-mile-long breakwater, before trying out a spot of scuba diving at Breakwater Beach (less than 0.5 miles away) in some of the warmest and calmest waters in the country. Hop along the English Riviera to the beautiful seaside towns of Paignton (5 miles) and Torquay (8.5 miles) or pack a picnic for a fun-filled family day at Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, 5.5 miles away.
