On the doorstep of a variety of shops and places to eat and drink, this fabulous getaway is set high above the hustle and bustle of Brixham’s town centre. It’s a fabulous retreat for couples or families with grown-up children, plus a canine companion.

Your holiday begins with three flights of winding staircases up to the penthouse’s hallway (think of it as a fitness bonus). A sleek and spacious kitchen/diner, full of light pouring through the windows, is just the space for spending a sociable evening, preparing a treat of freshly caught seafood, perhaps with the Smart TV on in the background. Later, the pretty lounge is a cosy space in which to snuggle up in front of another Smart TV, before heading off to bed. There are two bedrooms, each with a Smart TV and beautifully decorated, one super-king-size and the other a double. They share a lovely bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. This property has no outside space, however, the beach is only half a mile away.

The harbour town of Brixham is one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK, and fresh fish and delicious seafood are on the menu everywhere, from renowned restaurants to quirky cafes. Wander the harbour and enjoy the colourful houses that surround it, and perhaps explore the pirate ship museum, the Golden Hind. For swimmers, there’s a beautiful beach (a favourite for scuba diving) and a seawater lido, while walkers can stretch their legs on the coastal path – go east and Berry Head with its iconic lighthouse, part of the National Nature Reserve, is 1.5 miles, from which you can admire the exceptional sea views and see if you can spot a pod of dolphins. Another popular option is a boat trip from the harbour: choose from a ferry to Torquay or Paignton, a wildlife-spotting cruise or a fishing or diving excursion.

Wow, what a stunning apartment! Very comfortable, spacious and modern with all kitchen utensils etc you would need. Kelly kept us updated at all times (we had a small issue with the outside front door - this was sorted immediately!) Some people might find the stairs leading up to the property too much, but it was fine for us! We will definitely be Read moreback! (If not in this apartment, then one of the other ones Kelly has). Location was fantastic. The apartment itself was beautiful and spacious. All of the appliances and furnishings were really good quality and very comfortable. It was a delight to stay at the property. Fantastic central location due to this is quite noisy, steep spiral stairs on entrance however this was detailed, modern spacious bedrooms and kitchen all good quality. Car parking in long stay 10 mins walk, plenty of choice of restaurants and shops 5 mins walk, great for our long weekend !

Had a lovely week in this modern, nicely decorated apartment which had everything you could need during your stay! Nice to have tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. Central for shops, bars and restaurants. Beds really comfortable and we spent most of our time in the spacious kitchen/dining area. Would probably not be ideal for anyone with mobility Read moreissues due to the winding staircase.
