A striking stone barn conversion set in the scenic English Riviera town of Brixham, this charming coastal abode is a wonderful base for families or friends exploring what the South Devon Coast has to offer. Sun-seekers, swimmers, and scuba divers alike will be in their element whiling away the hours on the shingly shores of Breakwater Beach before stretching out on the spacious wooden deck with an al fresco picnic.

This property beautifully blends traditional charm and contemporary style. Step inside the open-plan heart of the home and rustle up a summer spread and drinks in the fabulously spacious shaker-style kitchen. There’s also a great dining space where everyone can gather around the large dining table before retiring to the lounge area with an indulgent sweet treat where you can sink onto the plush sofa for a movie marathon on the Smart TV. This space is amazingly versatile as you can slide open the huge bi-fold doors and let the outside in, extending the space to the decking outside. After a long day of exploring, rest up in the thoughtfully styled bedrooms consisting of a downstairs adaptable king/twin. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, including an airy king and a twin. Early risers can enjoy an al fresco breakfast perched on the fantastic wooden decking while night owls can grab a hot drink and stargaze beneath the twinkling night sky.

Brixham is a fantastic destination boasting a myriad of activities. Saunter along the harbour, 1 mile, and watch the boats bob in the water or settle in for a fresh seafood lunch and glass of wine on the waterfront. Step back in time as you discover the maritime adventures of Sir Frances Drake aboard The Golden Hind Museum Ship, 1 mile, or drink in the sweeping ocean vistas as you amble or pedal along the stunning South West Coast Path towards St Mary’s Bay, 2 miles.

We had a great stay at the Aylmer Coach house, after a long drive the house was perfect tonic for us. We were greeted with a freshly baked Lemon drizzle cake which was lovely. Beautiful location, relaxing and was a great base to come back to after a day out. The house with its enclosed courtyard was perfect for our cockapoo to run around in and notRead more worry about. All our needs were met with the amenities in the house. We would definetly stay there again and would highly recommend. Hide

Great cottage in good location for exploring Brixham and the surrounding area. Modern and well equipped kitchen and good sized bedrooms. Also a parking space up private drive which I understand is not always provided in holiday cottages in this areas. Could do with signposting more prominently as we drove past 3 times trying to find it.

We had a good time in The Old Coach House, it is very nicely decorated and has all you require in appliances for a comfortable stay. There was an issue with the decking which affected the performance of the bifold door which can be easily fixed. Lovely property, really enjoyed our stay and great that we could park two cars off road. Not many places in Brixham where you can do this and the enclosed outdoors was great for children as you knew they wouldnt wonder off. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Despite the suboptimal weather, we had a lovely stay at the Old Coach House. A really interesting property, that has been thoughtfully equipped and furnished. Location is 5 mins drive or 20 min walk down to Brixham and conveniently located for the many locally beaches/ coves. We would definitely recommend and would love to return in future.

Excellent accommodation. Good safe parking for two cars. Pleasant walk down to the harbour. Not so pleasant walking back up the steep parts of the hill for two in their 70s. It is a little more than a mile..

The house is lovely, everything we needed & more, plenty of space & came with towels. I picked it as it has off street parking which is quite hard to do in Brixham, fits 2 cars. U can then close the gates for privacy. Its right on the bus route outside the house into Brixham as it is a half hour walk otherwise.
