Wake up to the sound of the waves in a stylish seaside apartment for two guests, moments from one of North Devon’s finest golden beaches. Overlooking Croyde Bay and just a mile from the pretty village of Croyde, this lovely coastal retreat has glorious views of sea and sand from a private patio. The beach is an ever-popular destination for bucket-and-spade family holidays and surfers keen to ride the impressive Atlantic rollers. Croyde offers independent shops, pubs, and traditional tearooms, and is a starting point for wonderful walks along the South West Coast Path.

The bright, open-plan living area of this ground-floor apartment is beautifully furnished in a contemporary style with accents of marine hues. It comprises a comfortable sofa, and a well-planned kitchen area with patio doors opening onto the enclosed patio. Here, you can enjoy lovely, far-reaching views over a meal or drinks. Upstairs is a sleek bathroom and a sumptuous super-king-size bedroom, which can be made up as a twin. Outside, the beach is just a few steps away.

Picturesque Croyde village has a popular ice cream parlour and delightful cafes where you can enjoy a traditional Devon cream tea. Surfers and water sports enthusiasts will find a selection of shops with kit to buy or hire, and there’s a local craft market during the summer months. Take the 3-mile circular route to magnificent Baggy Point for spectacular views of rugged cliffs or walk to Saunton Sands (3.5 miles), where the golf club is open to visitors. Look out for seals in the surf around the jagged cliffs of Morte Point (8 miles) and visit the Aquarium in Ilfracombe (7.5 miles) to see more amazing marine life.

We enjoyed our stay in the nice small apartment. The shower controls are hard to operate and the induction hob fooled us! A second movable chair on the patio would have been nice too.

the bathroom is really very small, although adequate. Toilet was a bit smelly by the end of week need to supply some toilet gleaning gel. Very generous basket of goodies on arrival. Nice to be able to walk to village pubs and restaurants in the evening.
