Whisk your special person off to this charming, stone barn conversion in picturesque Devon surroundings. Situated near Milton Damerel, 5 miles from Shebbear and Holsworthy, it is also well located for venturing into Cornwall as well. Sleeping just two guests, but also welcoming four-legged friends with open paws, the detached, one-bedroom barn is set on the owner’s farm but enjoys its privacy. It comes with its own courtyard garden for summer lunches and outdoor afternoon teas.

Let yourselves into the cottage to find yourselves in a compact yet well-kitted-out kitchen. Unpack the fresh provisions you have sourced on your excursion and put the kettle on to make a cup of tea to enjoy with the freshly baked Devon scones you have bought. Take a step down into the bright lounge/diner, where you can open the French doors in the summer months to bring in a fresh breeze. Settle on the sofa in here to enjoy your cup of tea as you gaze out over the countryside or catch up on your latest boxset on the Smart TV. Dine inside or out, depending on the weather, and, when you are ready to retire for the night, amble through to the king-size bedroom, which comes complete with an en-suite shower room for your comfort. Have breakfast out in the courtyard garden on summer mornings and listen to the birds out here on warm evenings as you share a bottle of wine.

Plan an afternoon out to the National Trust’s Dunsland, 5 miles away, where you can stroll through magnificent, ancient parkland. Have a day on the coast at Bude, where you can explore the seaside town and spend time on the beautiful, sandy beach at Summerleaze. Pick up the South West Coast Path here and enjoy a walk out in either direction.

A fantastic property for that 'get away from everything break'. Lovely location and secluded yet ideally situated to visit both Devon and Cornwall. Great for nature lovers with sightings of the resident Barn Owl, Heron, Jay's, and Wren amongst others. Met the owners who were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.
