Steal away to this secret hideaway for two in Devon’s sublime countryside. Live in harmony with the local area, staying amongst 24 acres of Exe Valley woodland with resident pigs and chickens on-site and a local spring providing the cottage’s water supply. In other eco-credentials, the property is served by solar panels adding a supply of natural energy. Two guests are invited to stay here, with or without dogs, enjoying close proximity to the Exmoor National Park (6 miles) and to the scenic town of Tiverton (8 miles). A little further away, beaches, walking routes and villages along the Devonshire coast (20 miles) offer so much to explore.

Maintained with a traditional-meets-modern aesthetic, this lovely stone cottage is an altogether appealing abode split out across two storeys. Step inside to reach the open-plan living space where the lounge, kitchen and diner slot neatly together in a light, bright and spacious area. In the winter, throw a log or two on the wood burner to keep things cosy. When the sun shines, step into the enclosed garden at the rear where you can put your feet up and sip a late-night drink. Notice a ground-floor bathroom whilst making your way upstairs to the king-size bedroom, a stunning room with a Juliet balcony and remarkable views to wake up to each day.

Having got to know the acres of scenery that surround the property, jump in the car to find further hiking and biking routes that best encapsulate the beauty of the area. As well as Exmoor, you’re well-positioned to explore The Quantocks (19 miles) and the Blackdown Hills (16.5 miles), both AONBs teeming with beautiful sights to see. Tiverton itself is a hive of interest and activity, with its ancient castle and the Grand Western Canal offering 11 miles of canal path stretching to Somerset’s Taunton (21 miles).

Stunning lodge, plenty of outside space for parking, barbecue or dining al fresco and not forgetting the constant visits from the very friendly Peacocks and their babies! so cute, will miss them!! Definitely recommend this lodge and fab location with friendly hosts.

Ali was absolutely lovely,so friendly and helpful,the house is beautifully made, the location is stunning and that part of Devon is fantastic if you have a young family our girls (11&7)loved it as did we. We will be back,thank you so very much

This cabin is so good I almost want to keep it for myself The layout is great , super clean and in a lovely quiet location I couldnt fault it at all The owners are also very friendly and helpful we had a small problem which was rectified immediately I cannot praise this place enough

We had a fantastic stay here, the property is stunning, with everything you need, dishwasher, washer, towels..very relaxing stay, you feel in a very peaceful place, but only 6mins to tesco, easy to get to other places...highly recommend, and would definitely go back, I've already recommended it to others...tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk was also Read moreput in along with some lovely fresh eggs...you won't be disappointed Hide
