During the summer season, catch the passenger ferry to Instow, where a pooch-friendly beach and towering sand dunes are a must-see. For a more nostalgic seaside trip, Westward Ho! (2 miles) has arcade machines, ice cream parlours and sweet shops. Further afield, family attractions such as The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park and North Devon Wake Park are all within 10 miles.
