Just down the road in Torrington (4 miles), attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the excellent Plough Arts Centre for interesting movies. For those who fancy venturing a little further, pretty Clovelly is a seaside town with steep cobbled streets that lead down to a harbour and the sea, only 17 miles away. For water sports and fishing, Tamar Lakes is just 15 miles away.

Enter into the open-plan, ground-floor lounge/kitchen/diner, and you'll find yourself in a well-thought-out lounge hosting two plush, comfortable sofas and an electric fireplace. A great space to relax in front of the TV on those movie nights in. The pretty kitchen and dining space offers all the appliances needed for a stress-free stay, in addition to seating for shared meals together. When the night draws in, retreat upstairs to your choice of two bedrooms, one a king-size and the other a twin room. Completing the cottage is the pretty family bathroom, where you'll find a shower over a shorter-length bath.

At the front of the cottage, you'll be able to enjoy a private and fully enclosed garden with lawn, patio and outdoor seating for all. You also have direct access to a well-kept, shared garden – an ideal space for the children to play together. That is only the beginning of this enchanting countryside escape. You are also free to enjoy the multitude of family attractions on site, including animal enclosures where you can meet alpacas, a miniature donkey, pygmy goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and even a goose, alongside enjoying the gnome garden, indoor and outdoor play areas, fairy walk, stream and woodland paths. Meet the owners each morning for the daily animal feed, egg collecting and tractor ride. You’ll have a great time exploring the full 8 acres of scenic grounds on offer.
