Enjoy the best of all worlds at this South Hams holiday home. Inside, there’s a stylish open-plan living space and three en-suite bedrooms – one is on the ground floor, and for ultimate flexibility, all can be made up as either super-king-size or twin rooms. With a village pub and children’s playground on the doorstep, a choice of beaches close by and a private garden complete with a luxury hot tub, it’s a fine base for a laid-back break. A pair of pets are welcome too!

One of three holiday cottages within the grounds of a friendly village inn, this end-of-terrace house has chic styling, underfloor heating and all the must-haves for a hassle-free holiday. Step inside and you’ll find a bright, open-plan living space with dark wood floors and, at one end, an inviting lounge area with a large corner sofa and Smart TV. At the other end of the room, the sleek kitchen sits opposite a striking table and bench seating. When it’s time to retire, the ground floor also features a super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite wet room, while two further super-king-size bedrooms, each with en-suite shower rooms, are on the first floor. All the bedrooms here have their own Smart TV, and their zip-and-link beds can be made up as twins on request. For a breath of fresh air, step through the double door in the lounge and into your garden, where there’s a lawn, a patio with dining furniture and a hot tub for six; the end of the garden is hedged and animals graze in the fields beyond. If you’re holidaying with youngsters, there’s a lovely children’s play area in the beer garden next door. There is private parking for one car with additional parking in the adjacent pub car park, subject to availability.

The coastal village of Down Thomas is an excellent base for exploring the scenic South Hams, with the beaches at Bovisand and Wembury both within 3 miles – you can walk the South West Coast Path between the two. Less than 6 miles away, the waterfront city of Plymouth is home to the nation’s largest aquarium and has a rich maritime heritage.
