Providing an unforgettable South Devon escape, this incredible country cottage is primed for family stays with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities. The property is set in a peaceful, undisturbed location, 3.5 miles from Newton Abbot and around 4 miles from the famed coastal towns of the English Riviera. Newton Abbot is a charming, historic market town, home to several shops, restaurants, and a host of weekly markets. The surrounding countryside is perfect for hikers, cyclists, and nature-spotters, with Stover Country Park (7 miles), and the vast Dartmoor National Park a little further (10 miles). In the opposite direction, the linked towns of Torquay (4 miles), Paignton (5 miles), and Brixham (9.5 miles) offer so much appeal, including their bright, golden sand beaches.

The overall feeling of this house is one of farmhouse charm, complete with exposed stone walls, stone-flagged flooring, and calm, neutral colouring. The ground floor is split into three separate areas, a kitchen, diner, and lounge, along with a handy downstairs WC. Let your family chef get stuck into dishing up a delicious meal as you relax in the lounge – home to the piano, comfortable seating, a TV, and a cosy wood burner. The dining room is grand and spacious with plenty of room for all the family. Moving up to the first floor, find two king-size and twin bedrooms. Whilst a family bathroom serves the twin bedrooms, both king-size rooms feature en-suites for that added touch of privacy.

Heading out via the bi-fold doors in the lounge, discover the paved courtyard with a circular dining table for al fresco evenings. Elsewhere on the property’s site, discover a football field, children’s play area, games room, and swimming pool, all of which are shared with neighbouring properties. You can request sole use of the swimming pool with a simple booking form during your stay. There is also off-road parking for four cars.

For families, high chairs & stairgates are available on request. For infants 2 x travel cots are available to hire for £25 each for cot and bedding, for older children there are 2 x Z-beds to hire for £50 each - payable direct to the owner.
