Great start with milk, tea, coffee and selection of chocolate biscuits left to tempt us. Good location for walking in all directions with foot paths on the door step. Lovely big lawn area for our 3 dogs.Cooking was easy with facilities provide, visited 1 of the 2 very local pubs for a drink, food smelt lovely but ate at property. Found lounge chilRead morely in the evening even with log burning stove. Heating is on a time/temperature control which I understand as property heated with propane which is super expensive. Needed to just wear extra layers. Hide

Overall a lovely stay, comfortable and spacious. Attention lacking in cleanliness to plastic seal on shower screen. Wobbly handle to frying pan, which we fixed. Otherwise well equipped with everything we needed. Large garden ,safe for dogs and children. Unfortunately we had a power cut , 1 to 11 pm. Would recommend you take torches/ lamp Read more. Log burner was great. We called the owner the following day to reset heating and hot water , which he did. Location lovely . Two pubs in village. Could walk into Seaton, although main road busy and path narrow. Parking at house for two cars was difficult. We left one car on the drive and one in front of the gate recess. Would consider staying again . Hide

A well equipped house, about a 20 minute walk outside of Seaton with a good sized garden. The Pigeon Nest is placed between two pubs, both serving food. Seaton has lots of restaurants and bars and Lyme Regis is a short drive away. We'd highly recommend the beautiful beach at Branscombe where the cafe and takeaway sell AMAZING pasties.

We were not able to control the heating thermostat ourselves. We arrived at the house quite late, the temperature in the house was 17 degrees, the thermostat said it needed a PIN to adjust the setting, I could not find the PIN code for my the thermostat in the details provided. I called the owner the following morning and they informed me the heatiRead moreng was controlled by them online so I could not adjust it myself. They put the temperature up to 19 degrees for 2.5 hours, then it went down to 16.5 degrees, it gradually increased to 18 degrees by about 8 that evening. The next day the thermostat was never above 18 degrees and was at 16 for some of the day. My daughter was unwell so we could not go out much of the time. It was a cold February half term. We should have been able to control the heating ourselves! It was a lovely house in a great location but I recommend only visit in summer or if you like the cold / very little central heating! Hide

Lovely well appointed cottage close to two very nice village pubs. Handy location to visit local attractions and beaches. Disappointed with cleanliness of cottage, had to wash two bowls and frying pan before able to use them. Brush in cupboard under stairs and a clump of dog hairs attached to it and there were dog hairs all along the skirting underRead more the radiator in the hallway. The lock on the toilet door is broken. The mattress on the double bed is probably due for a change along with the fitted sheet that was there for our visit. Easy fixes that would take my scores to give across the board. Hide
