If you’re planning a coastal escape to Beer, this three-bed stone cottage is brilliantly located within the village. Bring the whole pack as it’s family friendly and even welcomes up to three canine friends. This is great news, with dog-friendly Beer Beach and its sheltered Lyme Bay waters within 500 metres to enjoy. Attractive open-plan interiors offer comfortable modern living, but with charming traditional features like bay windows, tiled and wooden floors, and a cosy wood burner. It makes a great base for any group of family, couples or friends who want to explore or fossick their way along the impressive Jurassic Coast.

Leave dog towels to hand and kick off sandy shoes in the entrance hall of this surprisingly spacious house with tasteful decor throughout. The ground-floor living accommodation is largely open-plan with a comfortable lounge area with sofas, TV and a wood burner, all flooded by light from the bay window. The dining area seats six in comfort and even has an additional sofa as another area to chat to the chef du jour in the modern kitchen. A mixture of wood and tiled flooring downstairs is both attractive and practical for when you have hounds in tow. Sleeping quarters comprise one king-size, one double and one twin bedroom, all relaxing spaces. Step out of the back kitchen door into the suntrap courtyard garden that’s safely enclosed and furnished.

Mooch about this picture-postcard village as there’s more to it than just the idyllic cliff-backed beach. Check out the independent shops and maybe get a bite to eat! Strike out on foot, dogs in tow, exploring lovely coastal walks along the Jurassic Coast around Beer. Join the South West Coast Path and venture to Seaton (2 miles) for another beautiful beach as well as more shops, eateries and its quaint Seaton Tramway.

A very comfortable period cottage in a quiet location yet a pleasant five minute walk to the beach. The enclosed courtyard was great for al fresco breakfasts and the dining area inside was spacious and comfortable.

A beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped cottage. It is roomier than the exterior would suggest. We also enjoyed the convenience of the extra, downstairs bathroom that made mornings easier. The welcome tray was a lovely, generous surprise. We would definitely be happy to recommend Causeway Cottage.
