Description
An interesting Arts and Crafts period property, recently redecorated and furnished throughout in soft shades, giving the property a light and soothing effect. Many period features have been kept, maintaining the cottages character and overall ambience. With a large patio that enjoys the sun throughout the day and it’s own parking area it is most certainly a property for the discerning visitor who appreciates style and quality.
Location: In an elevated position in Beer, overlooking the village and a 4 minutes walk down to the beach.
Accommodation: From the gravelled parking area, a gate leads to steps down into the patio garden. You enter via a tiled reception hall and a step down leads to a parqueted open plan area containing a dining table and 6 chairs with panoramic views across the patio to the village and beyond. The fully fitted kitchen has oak flooring, electric oven, gas hob, two undercounter fridges with freezer compartments, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of crockery, cutlery and equipment. Adjacent is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The stylish sitting room has two leather three seater settees, an open fire for the winter evenings and those lovely views over the village of Beer. There is a newly refurbished ground floor shower room with WC, wash basin and heated towel rail. From the hall is an elegant period wooden staircase to the first floor landing off which is a second bathroom with bath, basin, WC, corner shower unit and heated towel rail, with added ambience provided by the stained glass window. Alongside is the rear double bedroom with bedside tables and fitted wardrobes. Two steps lead up to the other 2 bedrooms, a master bedroom with original fireplace, a double bed, bedside tables, double wardrobe and large chest of drawers and extensive views over the village. Bedroom 3 has the same views, twin beds, bedside cupboard and a small wardrobe. The property has been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, respecting the period features whilst sensitively incorporating modern styles.
Outside: Off road parking. Additional free, time restricted, parking on the street outside. Steps lead down to a west facing patio area that catches the sun throughout the day. You can enjoy eating at the 6 seater table with a parasol, or relax in the casual seating around the fire pit, which can also be used as a BBQ for which equipment and utensils are provided. Decorated with shrubs, plants and herbs for guests' use, it enjoys extensive views across the village. The patio is in an elevated position with a low fence and drop to the path below, so please supervise younger children.
Pets: Pets: Two well behaved dogs welcome. Note - you will need to pay an additional pet fee and you must not leave dogs unattended in the property.
Restrictions: No smoking.
Facilites: Gas central heating and hot water. Gas, electricity, Wi-Fi, all linen and towels are included. The Smart TV in the lounge has Freesat and is also Netflix and Prime Video compatible.
