Devon remains a popular holiday destination for good reason – charming towns and villages with sandy and shingle beaches dot the dramatic Jurassic Coastline and there’s a host of delightful attractions to visit too. This three-bed house over four floors in Seaton is perfectly suited to a couple, small family or group of friends with its modern comforts and versatile sleeping arrangements. Bring your four-legged friend – with the beach within 200 metres, walkies couldn’t be more straightforward. Seaton itself has stacks to do for all ages and tastes.
Enter this modern townhouse on the ground floor which boasts a hall and utility room for storage as well as one WC and a spacious lounge. Up on the first floor sits the light and airy kitchen/diner that has a well-equipped galley kitchen, breakfast bar, dining table for four and additional sofa seating so the whole pack can hang out together. Open the patio doors here for an inside-outside vibe and access to the balcony. Two single bedrooms await on the second floor with useful wooden furniture. Up again on the top floor, you’ll find the stylish double bedroom nestling in the eaves. As well as the balcony, there’s a rear courtyard but do keep your eye on dogs and children as it’s not fully enclosed.
Seaton has a stunning shingle beach, plus quintessentially English seaside beach huts at one end set underneath the charming Cliff Field Gardens. At the other end, you can walk as far as Axmouth Harbour. Grab an ice cream along the way! Most of the year, you can hop aboard a replica heritage tram (dogs downstairs please!) for sightseeing with a difference on the Seaton Tramway. Use the South West Coast Path to walk 2 miles to picture-postcard Beer to tick another beach off your list, have some lunch or even enjoy a beer!
