Nestling into the hillside in an elevated position offering lovely sea views and only 100 yards from the centre of the picturesque coastal village of Lynmouth.  This 18th century character cottage is very unique with many original features including stone walls, low ceilings and thresholds as well as quirky nooks and crannies that will give you an insight into a bygone age.  Set in its own gardens with access only by footpath the cottage is within walking distance of a selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs and there are miles of spectacular coast and countryside walks from your doorstep.  A sloping pathway with some steps lead up from the main village street and through the garden to the cottage.  The front door opens directly into the cosy living/dining room with low beamed ceiling, feature stone walls and an open fire in its original stone fireplace providing a real heart to the cottage. A compact country style kitchen leads off and includes an original wooden square sink. Accessed by a narrow steep staircase the first floor offers two bedrooms with sea views and a family bathroom.   The spacious, characterful double room has a high apex ceiling, cross beams and lights in original barn chandeliers. Open stairs from this room gives access to a mezzanine area with seating. A further compact double room also offers sea views.  A private terraced garden with shingle patio is ideal for relaxation and outdoor dining. This traditionally furnished cottage will delight you with its unique features and lovely sea views and is situated amid stunning Exmoor scenery making it a great location for riding, fishing and walking and a good base for exploring this most beautiful part of North Devon.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Living/dining room with TV, DVD and open fire.  Kitchen with electric cooker and microwave (Rayburn is non functional) leading to scullery with fridge/freezer and washing machine. Shower room with shower cubicle and period style WC and basin.  First floor: Bedroom 1 with Double  Bedroom 2 with Double. Bathroom with bath, electric shower over bath WC and basin.

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels.  Travel cot. Oil CH. No smoking. 2 pets welcome. Wi-Fi Broadband. Garden furniture.Some restricted roadside parking available close by. Weekly car park permits can be purchased from the local TIC. Short breaks available. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
