This stunning waterside holiday cottage is the perfect base for exploring North Devon. Just 450 metres from the pretty village of Lynmouth, it sleeps six and is surrounded by stunning scenery, including the 19th-century fishing lodge of Watersmeet House, managed by the National Trust. With plenty of walking trails and stunning coastlines to experience nearby, this welcoming cottage is the perfect spot for a memorable holiday in Devon.

Enter this peaceful property and enjoy the spacious open-plan lounge/dining area. Relax on comfortable sofas in front of a crackling wood burner, while watching your favourite shows on SkyTV. The large, country-style kitchen, situated off the dining area, is sure to delight keen cooks with its impressive selection of mod cons. The first floor offers a shower room with a WC and two bedrooms: a king-size with mesmerising river views, and a twin with woodland views. Take the cottage-style stairs up to the second floor and find a large twin bedroom, with sloping ceilings and windows that look out over the river and trees. On sunny days, head outside to the pretty, rear courtyard patio and enjoy al fresco dining with a view of the mature forest.

Take a stroll around the village’s quaint shops, pubs and harbour, and be sure to take a ride on the world’s highest and steepest Victorian water-powered funicular railway, which will take you to the twin village of Lynton, 152 metres above. Kids and adults alike will love a ride on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway, a scenic route through Exmoor National Park, with its main station at Woody Bay, 4 miles from Lynton.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location right by the river and at the start of the stunning Watersmeet walk. The property was clean and had everything that we needed. On street parking wasnt a problem and it was only a five minute walk to the beach and ten minutes to the cliff railway to Lynton. We would thoroughly recommend and will be returning!

A beautiful stone cottage on a quiet no-through road. 5 or so minutes walk along the river to the village. The cottage front gets early evening sun, making it a perfect spot for reading with a glass of something, listening to the sound of the river.

We felt at home the minute we walked in and we're very sad to leave. The tea, milk and biscuits waiting for us were very welcome especially after a long journey. Beds are very comfortable and cottage is well equipped. The river that runs in front of the cottage is quite noisy to begin with but you very quickly get used to it and it becomes quite thRead moreerapeutic. The cottage is in a beautiful location and only a short walk to the shops. Hide
